Keepers:
Pickford: Keep
Tyrer: Back from loan
Crellin: Back from loan
Virginia: Leaves on a free
Begovic: Leaves on a free

Defenders:
Patterson: Sell
Keane: Leaves on a free
Tarkowski: Extend contract
O’Brien: Keep
Young: Leaves on a free
Mykolenko: Keep
Coleman: Retire - part of staff
Branthwaite: Keep

Midfielders:
Mangala: Loan ended, no re-loan
Doucouré: Leaves on a free
Alcaraz: Buy
Gana: Extend
Garner: Keep
Iroegbunam: Keep
Armstrong: Returns from loan, Keep

Attack:
McNeil: Keep
DCL: Leaves on a free
N’Diaye: Keep
Harrison: Loan ends, leaves club
Beto: Keep
Chermiti: Keep
Broja: Loan ends, leaves club
Lindstrøm: Extend loan another year

Transfer priorities:

- A new pair of fullbacks - right back prioritized
- Central midfielder, preferebly a no.8
- A pair of fast, dribbling wingers
- New striker

I would love the idea of having a fullblast pair of fullbacks, where Mykolenko is pushed everyday (Dixon needs a loan) and our right side can be sorted once and for all.
I think we are allright in the middle with O’Brien covering up for Tarky and Jarrad - or can step directly in if we sell Jarrad. We need another backup then.

Think we are alright with Gana/Iroegbunam/Garner, but we need a dominating no. 8 that can step in immediately.
Alcaraz, McNeil and Lindstrøm fights for no. 10-spot, and Ndiaye and McNeil at wings with two more great wide options. I like Kamaldeen Sulemana.

Upfront, we are having a blast with Beto. I hope we say goodbye to DCL and finds a no. 9 that are ready for an eye-to-eye battle with Beto and Chermiti.

That Leaves is with a squad of 21 players:

1. Pickford
2. Crellin
3. Tyrer
4. O’Brien
5. New right fullback
6. Mykolenko
7. New left fullback
8. Tarkowski
9. Branthwaite
10. Gana
11. Iroegbunam
12. Garner
13. New central midfielder (no. 8)
14. Alcaraz
15. Armstrong
16. McNeil
17. N’Diaye
18. Lindstrøm
20. New winger
21. New winger
22. Chermiti
23. Beto
24. New striker

If an optimal number is around 27 competitive players, we have 3 extra slots that can be filled with either young prospects from the academy or long term investments.

We probably enter the most important window in my time as an Evertonian. We have a great leadership under Moyes, we are no longer locked with PSR-regulations and we have a new stadium ready for us. Thelwell has to get ur right with key transfers in key areas of our squad, which I think will undergo a massive overhaul with several players going out and hopefully a lot of great hungry players joins our mission to become best of the rest again.

I don't know what we have to spend or our psr but I do expect Gana,Docoure and Young to be offered new contracts and we focus more money on the players we want to buy increasing the quality on 3/4 players. Perhaps up the quality of the loans we may bring in.

It's obvious what we need, whether we get that is another thing...

Lb: myko is showing signs of improvement, however a technically sound Lb with pace and better quality delivery is needed, even if it's just to rotate when the game dictates...

Rb: j.o.b looks solid and definitely gives us a lot defensively, but again, a quick, attacking fullback is needed.

Wings: illy coming back is massive, but we need two options with pace that can chip in with 5-10 goals a season as jesper and Harrison just don't provide enough.

Second striker: desperately need someone that offers the physicality of doucs with a bit more skill and craft

Cm: gana can't go on for ever, so someone with his profile to slot in when his days are done

Striker: a genuine alternative to beto, someone who can offer a similar level of goal threat providing this isn't just a purple patch

with RB I’d get rid of Patterson, it’s not happening with him. And probably try and take a gamble on either a youngster or someone abroad for approx 5-10 mil. Then just look on developing and bedding them in over a long period. Then come the following season JOB replaced Tark or Branthwaite if he goes and you have a RB ready for little outlay

The work should have well started on recruiting now we’re sure we’re staying up. I know getting your business done early is easier said than done but we could really do with the bulk in for the start of pre-season this year. Thankfully no international tournament this summer

I genuinely think we need (sharp intake of breath):

1 GK
1 LB
2 RB
1 CB
1 CM
2 RW
1 ST

And I think that's the minimum, and assumes we sign Alcaraz. It's going to be a scary job this summer.

Not for me mate. Think he's been decent this season but if he's still here next season I think the rebuild will have failed.
Think we will have to be a bit patient with the rebuild mate. Contracts up and a threadbare squad as is it will take alot of work over the summer to assemble a squad together. Sick of seeing 2 keepers constantly on our bench and it generally being crap. Not saying Young should be given a 1 year deal to be a main part of the side but moreso just to help beef up the squad numbers

Priority 1: Bin Harrison (0 assists, 0 goals)
Priority 2: Recruit one winger who can assist or score
Priority 3: Bin Lindstrom (0 assists, 0 goals)
Priority 4: Recruit another goal scoring winger
Priority 5: Recruit a goalscoring centre forward
Priority 6: Sign Alcarez on a permanent

I think Lindstrom will come good, I'd consider buying him.

Agree with a lot of that

We will not buy all of these players in one summer
2 or 3 loans.
1 or two senior players on frees with 2-3 year contracts.
Most of the money to be spent on right back and right wing …. To improve the team immediately.

Also a young athlete central midfielder to replace Gueye in a season or more … and a young left footed athlete ( like Zouma) to replace Tarks in the squad in 1-2 seasons

Not too much to ask?

Everton are expected to pull the plug on signing loanee Jack Harrison on a permanent basis, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the 28-year-old might not have a long-term future at Goodison Park after consecutive seasons on loan at the club.
