If Cabaye ends up at Crystal Palace I'll be annoyed we didn't even try for him. How many deep lying playmakers are out there at a decent price and proven in the prem having already got over their 'I want to go to a big club' strop? He was great for Newcastle and played both deep an number 10. He would be like a fit Gibson for us.
 
I've just been informed by the tramp who sleeps rough in Woolton Village that he spent last night in a doorway with none other than the Aldi Rush, TC Aldridge.

TC Aldridge informed him over a shared can of Special Brew that Martinez has approached Jay Spearing about signing for the club, done deal apparently.

Martinez wants to lighten the spirit in the dressing room, and thinks 30 minutes of pre game laughing at Spearings ugly kite will do the trick. TC Aldridge then rolled over pissed his pants and started offering passers by out.

problem is we won't know if we tried for him or not.

We probably don't have that money to spend on a back up and RM may think it a waste anyway with the youngsters we have coming through, can always use Hibbert next year and send Browning out on loan.

Depends if he's willing to sit behind Coleman for a couple of years. Would love this though.
