Given we'll be starting with more or less a blank sheet of paper, I'd say we should be looking for three different types of player - A target man (in the Giroud mould), a fast, hard-working striker (in the Vardy mould) and a "clever" one who can also play as a number 10 if required (in the Rooney mould). I'm not saying necessarily those three individual players, just ones who play a similar style
Given Koeman had Pelle and Long at Southampton, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to suggest he might be thinking along similar lines

I agree, the red flag should be him being absolutely turd.
Kone barely played but so losing him is irrelevant. We'll need 2 + DCL. Can't keep 3 strikers happy.

DCL is nowhere near ready for the 1st team IMO, I think/hope we've been using him out of necessity at times this season
If Rooney really is a player we are after, it's reasonable to assume he'll play more often than not but would assume he'll be a number 10 as I can't see him playing very often as a lone striker. That being the case, still think we'd need two others.
