According to reports, Everton could be set to do battle over the signature of Porto midfielder Yacine Brahimi this summer. The Portuguese giants are also prepared to sell the player this summer.

After joining Porto from Granada in 2014, Brahimi has gone on to make 117 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring 28 goals in the process.

The Toffees’ attempted to lure the Algerian international Brahimi last summer and submitted a £33.6 million bid for him on transfer deadline day, which was rejected by Porto.

According to reports from Portugal, Porto may be willing to lower their asking price for Brahimi in order to comply with Financial Fair Play rules by raising funds quickly.
Brahimi will definitely be a good addition to the Everton side, which will be competing in the Europa League next season. West Ham have also been rumored to be interested in the past and may make enquiries this summer.

Does anyone know if he said he wanted to play for the RS OR did the RS mereley claim that he said so??

If the former - No.

If the latter maybe we should think about it.
apparently he and his reps met with Klopp and LFC officals in Blackpool whereby he was impressed and convinced by Klopp to pick Liverpool over likes of City etc. That's based on the article i read which was so damning about FSG's PR blunders over the years you'd think it was an echo piece about our beloved Club. I have no idea if there is proof but if VVD has meet anyone from LFC without Southamptons permission then they are in big trouble and i'm guessing for Saints to complain and then the RS to apologies so pathetically they must have something.

They met in Blackpool and subsequently VVD was peppered with text messages from Klopp, it appears. How they have avoided sanctions for repeatedly tapping players up is beyond me. Quite blatant.

With Liverpool now out of the race for Van Dijk and Man City seemingly baulking at his fee, why aren't we stepping in?

One of the best defenders in the league and supposedly has a great relationship with Koeman.
