Summer Transfer Window 2017

Sky Sports running the Keane link. Can be difficult making a read on a CB that plays for a struggling side. Burnley defend pretty deep. If he is the only CB coming in I am a little worried.
Exactly. Very difficult. Same with keepers and defensive mids. Gana playing defensive mid for villa and them going down is an example

Everton have identified Michael Keane as their number one defensive target this summer, according to Sky sources.

The Toffees are keen to bolster their defensive options ahead of next season and Sky Sports News HQ understands they are currently the favourites to sign the Burnley centre-back.

Keane has only one year left on his current contract at Turf Moor and is expected to leave Burnley, despite the club retaining their Premier League status last season.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman revealed his interest in Keane in January, but insisted he was one of a number of defenders on his wish list.

Sky Sports News HQ
understands Everton are yet to table an offer for Keane and they could face competition from Manchester United in the race to secure the 24-year-old's signature.

Why wouldn't we have put a bid in? Too much mulling for my liking.

Taken from the Sandro thread on TEF.....

I know we should take things like that with a pinch of salt but sometimes he does get good info that's spot on, and granted, he gets things wrong, so we'll see?! But surely we need to trigger his release clause before we can talk to the player? And I thought terms were already agreed through his agent and it was a matter of waiting on Sandro to decide where he wanted to go?!

Someone on Twitter made a good point earlier actually, he's away with Spain at the U-21's European championships so probably won't be do I g for talks Monday. Plus Sandro said recently he would wait till after international duty before deciding on his future....

Why haven't we tabled a bid and tested the waters with Burnley? We've probably been talking and talking since January about Keane with Burnley to the extent we know what they want, so why haven't we thrown in a bit of a teaser and see what they think?!

Spain's first game isn't until next Saturday 17th June and they may not have met up to fly to Poland for the tournament yet.

I think they have, the interview he did last week or the week before was at their pre tournament camp and he was kitted out in all Spain gear. Maybe they would give him permission but can't see it in the week building up to the start of a tournament.
