It all depends on the quality of the players, but in pure numerical terms selling Lukaku and Barkley not to mention the likes of McCarthy and others possibly and signing 6 would leave us overall quite tight still in numerical terms. Though should we get the six mooted then in those terms it would be a very good summers work.

Six would probably be about the minimum in terms of players ready and expected to challenge for a starting spot though I would still expect to see 1-2 other signings on top of that which would might fall into the young with potential category, or at the other end, squad fillers, like Cuco Martina. I would much rather bringing in players of a younger age who might be able to make a contribution in the cups and the odd league game, or latter EL group matches if we were qualified.

Already addressed this and Beardsley is much different to the other two which Watson never appeared for them and Sheeds only made a few appearances.

Would you have welcomed Carrager or Owen? I certainly wouldn't even though they were blues.

Fair enough and like I've already spoken about it's of course a matter of opinion but I'd prefer our players have no connection whatsoever.

If the series of events that have played out matched up your claims then maybe you could. But Bill and Bob being responsible for the Pickford and Sandro transfers falling apart, when in reality it seems everton were just working their way up to £30 mil valuation for Pickford and Sandro is deciding, and still is, were he wants to play football next season appear to be why both deals stalled.
