Im not saying he wont be good, but he's 30, we wont get much out of him now and hes probably past his prime. He could still be good for 2/3 years but I wouldnt want us spending big on an older player. That ok mate?

The spending is irrelevant, its not our money and if its going to help get us to the next level, then its not worth moaning about.

People need to stop thinking about the money we spend and just see what the player would offer and how he fits in to helping us improve.

30 is not old, players still offer things for another 3 years after that, depending on the player.

If we got two good years out of a player who is 30 and that helps us win a trophy or get close to the CL, then does his age matter?

That was my point mate, wasn't really having a personal go at you.

Bacca might well be finished, but he seemingly still scores goals, which we struggle with. He may well be past his prime, I don't know I don't watch him, but not every 30 year old is going to be.

Even though it's nice to he linked with a couple of decent players, I really do hope we went out and made one statement signing. Losing Rom we lose our only world class player, it would be great if we went out and actually brought in someone like Perisic or Icardi to atleast shoe intent rather than 2-3 Niang type signings.
