Steve Walsh wears sunglasses in the shade doesn't he the bad, bad fraud
They're those smart glasses... he has stats and reports scrolling over the insides of them constantly.

It's like the fkn matrix in there...

Does sending out a delegation to have a casual chat bout a variety of players from a mixture of clubs count as :
  • 'Mulling over a move'
  • 'Considering'
  • 'Expressing interest'
  • 'Pondering a bid'
  • 'Readying themselves'
Or none of the above?

Just trying to work out with this fits with the last 40 transfer windows I've had to sit through as an Evertonian

I don't know about any of all that, but I can't wait for us to 'open the warchest'.

Will be interesting to see if all this spending is with money already earmarked or money raised from selling Rom and possibly Barkley

Player trading is inevitable. Nearly every single club is doing it in order to strength their squads. It's not as simple as money out minus money in on transfers equals your net spend. It's all complicated by wages, player amortisation over the length of a contract, value of academy players as assets etc. Unless you're an accountant with a weird hard on for this stuff there's no point getting into money. The only question, regardless of the sale or retention of Barkley and Rom, is do we have a better squad or not than before?

This 'Moshiri's just spending the Lukaku money' argument is ridiculous as it doesn't actually make any sense. A better indicator of Moshiri being serious or not is our wage bill, can we get it to the levels of Spurs and Liverpool etc. regardless of our net spend.
