- Sportitalia report Everton have identified Napoli owned striker Duvan Zapata as the heir to Romeu Lukaku. The Partenopei want 20m euros for the 26 year old who has been on loan at Udinese for the last two seasons. 4th Official quote the same report.

- The Daily Mail say Everton are interested in Arsenal defender Calum Chambers and will make a £15m bid if they fail to land Michael Keane.

- Foot Mercato suggest Everton have turned down the chance to sign M'Baye Niang. The Toffee's consider the player too unreliable and too inconsistent. A deal was never close. The Daily Star, however, say Everton are closing in on a deal for Niang.

- Calciomercato report Arsenal have joined Everton in trying to sign Mario Lemina from Juventus.

- Walesonline suggest Everton are still interested in Gylfi Sigurdsson and could pay £40m for the player.

- Foot Mercato say Everton are watching Valencia defender Aymen Abdennour. The French outlet report, though, that the player is not Everton's no1 defensive target.

anyone think icardi as rom's replacement could be the main reason why walsh was in milan? I'd happily take him as a replacement but not sure if it's realistic.

Pickford will be nowhere near £30m, it might get to £20m tops but it doesn't really matter - we have cash now, it's all about attracting the right kind of player & selling those players the ambition to which the Club is aiming.

The 'really' top players will be with us within 2 years.

If we bid anything like 40m for Sigurdsson I would be dangerously close to losing all faith in this new project and becoming a card-carrying bedwetter

He has scored 6 goals in his last 8 starts for Denmark! He made a total of 2 starts for Leverkusen and Kaiserslautern and was 21 years or younger at that point.

No, he hasn't. He has scored two against Leichtenstein in a friendley and one in another friendley against Bulgaria, i think. He scores against Kasakstan earlier this season, but i am pretty sure he last goal before that was against Sweden in november 2015

Looked like he couldn't use his left foot to save his life and his heading appeared pretty poor as well, he looked like he had a bit of technical ability about him but I think he'd be badly found out in this league.

Surely can't be replacing Rom with either Bacca or this Zapta character.

We need a top level striker.

I'm not even sure Walsh is over in Italy to find and do a deal for a CF. when you think about it their isn't many top strikers over there and the best ones are already at the best clubs and won't leave for us. Zapata as been linked and as a squad player would be good but to lead the line every week and get the goals? I'm not sure. Same with likes of Bacca & Niang. The lad Kalinic at Fiorentina is decent but Milan seem keen. Belotti is gonna end up at one of the CL clubs and I'm not sure Immobile would leave Lazio. After that who is there?

I'd love it if we were over there trying to tie up a deal for Berardi! He would be perfect for us off of the right in a forward 3. Class little player!....
