Yes it worried me a touch but actions speak louder than words & we certainly
Ain't limited to any age group everyone seems to be a target of they are good enough regardless of age
You're right. I'm not just enjoying the window because who we have signed, but the potential ahead of us. Pickford, klassen, Sandro, Henry and Keane are all good players and will improve our squad I've no doubt, but more importantly their best footballing years are ahead of them. However, if I could pick one player in the 27-29 bracket I'd hope it would be a striker with a top pedigree. We can't afford to 'gamble' on inexperience when replacing our best player in the most prominent and important position on the pitch.

I know, im just saying that we wont just sign young uns.
Jong Uns you say?

I wouldn't rule that out, or certainly a very small net spend.

Whilst I hear your net spend arguments, we must consider that key players at Everton are now at a premium so we can't punish the club for getting the best price, even if we don't reinvest every last penny back in. We can only buy so many first team players and currently they won't be players in the 40-50 mill bracket, but bear with me....

If we can build and make progress season on season that we encourage the higher end of the market players to eventually come.

Net spend is unimportant to me, if we improve our league position each season.

Absolutely no chance. We will end up in profit with a better squad (albeit a striker downgrade) and quite right too.
I doubt we'll end up with a surplus, but I agree it's unimportant. If we spend £150m on players and only end up spending say £30m net, then that's just great business.

I'm just really excited to see some new decent players. I still can't believe we've signed Klaassen.

Exactly. As long as each window passes and the team and squad is stronger that is all that matters. If you take the case of Sandro and cleverley, Everton has a positive net spend of 3m on those 2 deals. However we haven't weakened the squad in any way.
