Summer Transfer Window 2017

Thing is though, with potentially 2 confirmed today, all our interest will be on Giroud/Rooney which could be sorted in the next couple of weeks. 50 days left of the transfer window, we could do those and just shut up shop, or we could just carry on spending when something good pops up? I wouldn't rule out another 3-4 signings this summer.

Monday 8pm under the lights, I'd settle for that.
I suppose we're going to be on quite a bit in the first few weeks. City and Chelsea away, Spurs at home and Man Utd away. All likely candidates. But, the opening day fixtures don't have any stand out games. Usually the Champions are on, the RS, Man Utd and at least one promoted team. That may account for it, but I reckon we could be in frame now.

I have decided I only want us to sign him if we also get Giroud so we can call them Girooney.

Marketing and all that.
Giroonimo.

In truth, if we do sign Rooney it will take the shine off things for me. Seems a backward step in an otherwise forward thinking strategy.

If Rooney is signed I think we'd be nailed on for the Monday night slot on sky. You know how they love to hype things up 'the homecoming' 'return of the prodigal son'. You know they'd (sky) would milk it for all it's worth. In all seriousness I think there would be real interest in this match from the football fraternity in general (apart from the RS).

This actually does feel like the Summer when City went mental in the transfer market, very very weird to watch it all unfold so far
