We've already signed two strikers.

There's also links with Giroud, Walcott, Bas Dost, Dzeko, Josh King, Duvan Zapata and even bloody Benteke.

We have several targets lined up. Alan Myers posted earlier that he has been told we have lodged a bid for a forward and have enquired for others.

There's targets literally everywhere.

I don't doubt we'll get someone. Although I'm not impressed at the Benteke shout. Just surprised we sold first.

Thing with Benteke is he's such a uninspiring, underwhelming footballer but his goal ratio is respectable.

I mean wouldn't be ecstatic if we signed him. But it's a sensible option, nothing more.

Like i said when i first got here, i like reading different opinions, gives me a different perspective, so i like to visit other team's forums.
Also, if you read my first post a few pages back, the only thing i asked about Lukaku was whether him leaving bothered you lot or not, but carry on.

By the time they're "ready" to challenge all these players will be too old? Need replacing and then your back to square one

Build a young team not one that needs replacing as your constantly moving back on yourself

Cos we've got loads of youth and could do with some players who know where the back of the net is in the top level of English football to ease the loss of our 25 goal striker.

We also require a 'focal point' for Koeman's preferred system which, as he actually pointed out again today, is to have 3-4 players capable of scoring between 10-15 goals than just one player capable of scoring 25.

We have just signed Sandro, and Koeman obviously rates DCL. But you still need strikers with experience to help bring them on. And we need someone proven now to get the goals while they develop.

Palace, same as Swansea will demand 50M for him, they all know that we have at least further 75M to spend and we have to replace Lukaku.

I feel the striker issue has already been settled a while ago ,Walsh and co knew months ago that Rom was leaving so they have done their homework, they werent going to announce it before Lukaku was sold and it will be 3 days before the Rooney hype settles and the time is right .
