I honestly think Bolasie is one of the worst wide players ive ever seen play for us.

You have Kilbane and Pembridge who were 'workmanlike' say 6/10 players....

This fella gets the ball, rolls his foot over it...runs forward and blasts it towards the penalty area head down.

Its like he doesn't think what to do...just wants to get his head down and run and whack the ball in the box at random.

Watching him and then seeing Lookman at the World cup (a supposedly similar player) the difference in decision making was silly.

Seems like a nice chap and I hope he gets over his injury but I don't see anyone offering half what we paid for him even in this market.

Mate I often agree with what you say and there is a lot of sense spoken but "I honestly think Bolasie is one of the worst wide players ive ever seen play for us." is the biggest load off bubbles you have ever said!

The guy was our best option going forward until he got injured and was leader in assists a couple of months after he was injured still

Its not his fault over the transfer fee and lets face it 50 million for Iceland certainly will make 28 million a bargain once this guy has a good run in the team

Give the lad a chance and lets see what he can do when he gets back

I'm the first to give people chances. Just think Bolasie is a hopeless player. I also said when we were getting points last season we did not look good with Bolasie, Stekelenburg and others.

The main attributes he had were speed and tricks...the price was insane but I wouldn't have taken him for 5mil.

Watching Lookman in the WC you could see his brain working and how he fit into the team...Bolasie is an individual who hasn't the ability to control games or himself. If he was 18 then i'd understand but hes about 28 now and plays without using his head,

All about opinions...but for me Lookman I'm excited about and think this season he will be the one the media clamour for England caps.

I think we're in for a bit of down time on the signing front. Walsh and co. should take a couple weeks, circle the wagons, get their strategy clear in their heads and put in a row push near the end of the window. The other clubs and all the agents have clued into the fact that we're splashing the cash, and will grind out every penny.

Of course, I could be wrong.

...Wednesday mornings rumour round up;

- The Mirror says Ross Barkley is pricing himself out of a move to Spurs by demanding a salary of £150k per week. Apparently Barkley wants wages in excess of Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris. Spurs have a £120k per week wage ceiling.

- The Mirror also reports that Everton and Spurs target, Demarai Gray is to be offered a new contract by Leicester City.

- The Daily Mail says Leeds United have beaten Hull City to the signature of young Everton defender, Matthew Pennington, on a season long loan.

- The Daily Cannon Weblog suggests Arsenal should bite Everton's hand off if they offer £30m for Theo Walcott.

- According to 4th Official, Everton are linked with Spanish star, Jonathan Viera. A product of the Las Palmas Academy, Viera played for 4 Spanish clubs before returning to his boyhood club in 2015.

- An article in the Daily Mail suggests Everton have beaten the elitist trap set by Financial Fair Play and are no longer doomed to sit in mid-table forever.

- The Daily Mail also reports Birmingham City are keen to take Everton winger Aaron Lennon on a season long loan.

- Sky Sports say Everton, Marseilles and Southampton are tracking Chelsea forward, Loic Remy. Remy spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace but managed only 8 appearances in all competitions due to injury.

- Italian outlet Tuttosport report Everton could attempt to sign up Sampdoria prodigy Patrick Schick with his proposed move to Juventus on a knife edge. Schick had agreed a £27.6m transfer only for a potential cardiac problem to arise during the players medical.

Pretty grim reading this morning, which for me suggests nobody in the press has a clue who we are after.

The club would have Plan B targets thus Ron needs to decide if he needs to move on or risk missing out on other targets.

I would say the fact that we are loaning Pennington out and the injury to Mori, coupled with the faint rumours of him leaving anyway suggests that we are likely to purchase another CB, im not convinced Williams is a cert to start.

Also you could consider that if Iceland is signed he MIGHT replace Gana at home versus Stoke, possibly, I think at this point only Morgan and Baines can be sure to start from that list, IMO.

I'm starting to go off your posts slightly morgsfrand
They are getting more sensible by the day.
If this continues I'll have to consider putting you on temporary ignore till some of the madness returns
