Summer Transfer Window 2017

I agree that some people are getting carried away with a good start to the window, but in a different way to you.

Our start to the window was undoubtedly good (I wouldn't go as far as great). I think Pickford and Keane are good additions, I'm excited by Sandro, pleased with Rooney, and see Onyekuru as a potential game changer in terms of our recruitment - signing such a highly rated player and just loaning him out is a very un-Everton thing to do. Since then though, we've lost Lukaku, and it appears Barkley will be following him. If that happens, I'd say the window as a whole is only really a 6/10 as it stands. Losing what were in my opinion two of our best players would be a big blow, and I think the players we've brought in basically just negate the loss of those players rather than massively improving the squad from last year.

The window can become a 9/10 if we manage to bring in a quality striker and a bit of creativity, even a 10/10 if we also get another quality centre half. I agree that we're in danger of losing a bit of momentum though, starting the season without any further first team players would be a disappointment in my opinion.
Have faith
Koeman said yesterday he wants to replace Lukaku, cover for Mori and one more , and that was after Siggy
Do you think RK doesn't see the gaps in the squad like we do
The Mosh will deliver

Think thats why Koeman has been so public- to get interested clubs to make a move and start a bidding war.

if i'm being critical, this probably should have been done as soon as the season ended if that's when he decided he wanted to leave. Suppose they were still hopeful they could convince him, but he gave ross a deadline date a long while back, that should have been the last straw from our POV. I don't understand now, on the eve of our season and just after he's had and injury and required surgery ... it's bit of an odd time for the club to do it.

We get a 20mil bid McCarthy he will be gone and still have 5 players for 2 positions.

i dunno, if we're thinking towards to the next summer, signings via raising funds from player sales for FFPP ... McCarthy will be the only sellable asset worth anything that we could/would want to sell. We don't need to sell him now to fund our next 3 signings this summer imo.

If we fast forward we're thinking jagielka, barry, lennon may be offloaded and that won't get any fee.

I suppose mori and at a push maybe mirallas could fetch a figure as well actually if they're disgruntled at lack of playing time.

Barry will be third choice in central midfield behind Schneiderlin and Gueye, and Besic is promising enough to be fourth choice and look to impress when given a shot. We don't need five players for two positions, so McCarthy see you later!

Edit - I forgot Davies! 3rd choice.

Wages play a big part in FFP too though... We're more than safe anyway due to Lukaku sale

Collins signals what some have believed there's no money unless we sell.
I don't think this is the case personally, I don't think Koeman would lie about what he said yesterday. It would cause a massive backlash from the fans.
