mate, rooney in no way was brought in as a lukaku replacement. He only played up front yesterday because we haven't bought our new striker yet and the other one wasn't fit ti play 90 mins. You need a squad, we're not going to be able to have a squad of 25 lukaku's for example, he'll definitely be useful and is good enough to be a top 6 squad player.

I wouldn't see Sandro as the player leading the line. He looks like a natural Mirallas replacement to me.

No, he is a centre forward and will be played as such I believe. In this case the shirt no. is significant. He has only rarely been used as a winger, and I don't believe he would have signed for us to be shunted to the wing. Of course this doesn't preclude having another forward alongside him , which I personally still prefer, but that doesn't seem to be the way in the modern era. As ever, time will tell.

Yup he aint your standard number 9/CF - He's what I would class as an inside forward.
