- According to the Daily Mirror, Everton and Liverpool are battling for the signature of striker Max Kruse who plays for Werder Bremen.

- Italian journalist, Alfredo Pedulla, suggests Everton and Liverpool are also interested in versatile Genoa player, Diego Laxalt. The 24 year old Uruguayan can play left back, left wing back or central midfield. Pedulla also says the player has his heart set on a move to Liverpool.

- 4th Official again link Everton with veteran West Ham defender, James Collins.

- The same outlet also report Everton interest in bagging the Czech Republic midfielder, Jakob Jankto. The 21 year old plays for Udinese.

- The Times says Mauricio Pochettino wants to convert Ross Barkley to a deeper lying midfielder if the player leaves Everton for Spurs.

- A report from L'Equipe says Olivier Giroud will wait until after the start of the season before deciding his future.

- Ed Aaron's, football editor of the Guardian, says Everton and Inter Milan are the latest clubs to declare an interest in Nice midfielder, Jean Seri. Apparently Everton see Seri as a back up option if their bid for Gylfi Sigurdsson fails.

Jean Seri looks an archetypal Walsh recruit. Only seen a couple of YouTube compilations but I like what I saw.

Still think Dembele is the forward most suited to us at this point in time.....although, given carte Blanche of realistic targets I'd opt for Martial.

James Collins lol. Despite all of our signings we could find ourselves in a position next summer where we might need to replace Jags, Williams, Baines and Coleman (if he is unable to recover from that injury). All that considered buying another aging CB would be insane
