....it's 1st August but the window remains open for a bit yet. Here's Tuesday morning's rumour mill;

- Royal Blue Mersey Weblog reveals a tweet from 'Transfer Swoop' saying an unknown Premier League club is about to trigger the £26.9m release clause of Real Sociedad defender, Inigo Martinez, and considers if that club could be Everton.

- Talking on 5Live radio, Swansea captain Leon Britton said he expects Gylfi Sigurdsson to complete his move to Everton. The Mirror says Everton are closing in on Sigurdsson for close to £50m.

- According to the Daily Express, West Ham are refusing to do business with Everton after the Toffee's were linked with defender Winston Reid.

- The Daily Mail reports Everton and Spurs target Demarai Gray has held talks with Leicester about his future. The 21 year old wants assurances about his game time or he will seek a move away.

- The Daily Mail also says Southampton are in talks with Lazio defender Wesley Hoedt but Everton are also interested in the £12m rated Dutchman.

- FutnSoccer website suggests Everton are holding out for £35m for midfielder Ross Barkley with Spurs leading the race to sign him.

- 4th Official again link Everton midfielder, Aaron Lennon, with a move to Watford.
Not much happening then

..I can't see Sigurdsson playing anywhere but no10 but I might be very wrong.
Would be a waste playing him on the left. Didn't work at spurs, didn't work when Swansea tried it. Stick him in a no.10, even if you have to play both him and Rooney in that role in a 4-1-4-1. With a slow Baines and no Coleman we need to width, leave it to the quick pacy bunch i.e Lookman/Sandro (if not up front)/whoever we sign/Mirallas even Lennon. But Koeman will find a way to squeeze everyone into a 4-3-3 based off strong pressing.

Jesus Christ! Have you seen him...... every tackle he makes he goes to ground which will cost any club in the Premier League in terms of free kicks and penalties conceded. He's also so one footed it's untrue he's a F Mori MKII.
Swerve please swerve!

It's a highlights reel buddy not a full match. They like to show boss slide tackles not a nice solid standing challenge; they don't look quite as boss.
