Danny Welbeck, I said I'd like to see him in earlier this summer and I would still like to see him come in, pace to burn and a run as a striker could be the making of him, I'd think we have more chance at him than Giroud given the laters ability to score from the bench

Welbeck is a good player, but his injury record is a bit poor, he would be good to have in the squad, but I don't think we could relay on him to be fit for the season

Probably one of the most injury prone defenders of his generation. Impressive injury record.

That's a fair point, given Everton's medical you'd hope they'd be able to identify his issues and manage him going forward. It's the reason I think we can put Vermalhen on the agent wish list!

He's been injured or on the periphery of Barca and Roma in the past two seasons. 31 with his pace starting to wane. He was a quality player and is hugely talented but injuries have taken their toll.

I'm hoping it's only a loan if the reports are true, due to his injury record. If it's a permanent centre back we're after, I'd rather the lad from lazio we were linked with, as at least we might see him on the pitch on a regular basis.

Only played 11 games in 2 years for Barca because of injuries. Just had a year loan deal at Roma playing 9 times.
