Paying over the odds for established players at mediocre PL and euro clubs has been the hallmark of this summer's activities.

I honestly wished we'd gone for Overmaars or some other quality control type general manager to give this club some coherence.

We are all over the place it seems and we need a strong character to impose order over the playing side. It looks an uncoordinated shambles right now.

By the above I assume u meant Ajax whom we got klaasen from. Well if so, your desire for overmars who's a 'quality control type general manager' must be you taking the piss then dave.
Seeing as overmars has been ajax's DOF since 2012 so would have had a huge say in bringing klaasen through into the their 1st team......

Judging by his agencies clientele list, i would hope that is the situation here - with him flying with arl Dave, would make sense.
