They've done some awesome business this summer. Rom will get them 30 goals plus.

Very nice of us to sell our competition our best player and then do eff all to replace him.

They aren't the competition Friend. Theyll be winning titles again soon. We won't.

That one again, that's an old one from earlier in the transfer window. lol

We've sold Lukaku, signed Sandro and Rooney.

Please don't tell me you're including Kone and the on loan Valencia in this equation.

im including Valencia because he was our back up to rom last season ( last season we still needed a striker, imagine rom got injured )

we've signed sandro... and rooney isn't a striker anymore, you telling me your ok going into the season with the striker situation as it is?

@all the net spend meffs this is you.

Couldn't care less about net spend, but the obvious issue with the sleep deprived Mr Downie's post is that the manager has been very vocal in pointing out that he doesn't have the squad he wants.

This happens every year. Someone suggests that they don't think recruitment is going particularly well and loads of people go 'hahaha BEDWETTER! Just wait everything will be boss'. Then it isn't boss, and the manager says that he's fully aware that it isn't boss, and the chairman agrees that you could call it a lot of things but boss would probably be stretching a bit, and the people who were calling people bedwetters start kicking off because the activity they were absolutely certain was coming never did, and the people who supposedly were bedwetters just shrug and get on with it because they're not surprised at how things have panned out and they'll support the team just the same whether we overpay for Icelandic set piece specialists or bring in League One strikers on a free.

If we don't sign the players that we drastically need, then the net spend argument has some merit. We obviously need another striker as well as a left sided CB. It wouldn't hurt to bring in a creative midfielder as well (Gylfmeister incoming). If it stops where it has and none of those positions are filled, you have to say it holds some weight. If we covered all of those positions and the net spend was at 0, then you'd say we were just very shrewd in the market. I'm going to assume Gylfi is a sure thing and we bring in cover where we need to.
