Yeah it came out the other day mate, think Costa gave an interview and blew away a few myths that had sprung up about what happened.

Makes sense when you think about it, Chelsea get 80-90m or whatever to get rid of a player the manager doesn't actually want there and the blame all gets slapped on the 'problem player' - who apparently is actually always been really popular amongst teamates at every club

Costa wouldn't want to get injured, here for only a season at best...

Dolberg would join our other youngsters, have Rooney and Sigurdsson guiding him.

We'd only need to add 2 players max a season after this window for a long long time...


Sign Dolberg = Lookman, Sandro, DCL, Dowell. 5 young players for the attacking positions.
Then we have Rooney, Sigurdsson and Bolasie guiding them.

That's how you build a dynasty.

Everton happy to sell Rom by far our best player. That to me shows no ambition or backbone from the board.

The only reason we sold him is to bail us out so as we had funds for the summer.

If we'd have signed the players we got this summer last year, I doubt Rom will have left. Why didn't we sign them last year? No money too. We only now have cash due to Lukakus sale

The reason Lukaku changed his mind on signing the contract was because he was told we wouldn't be able to make the squad additions he wants due to finances

He spoke out numerous times stating his frustration that Everton consistently missed out on players due to various reasons including finances. Giabadinni was one of the latest and the one he mentions.

Koeman said something in his presser yesterday that made me think. He was asked about Costa and said this "We have brought in some good young players in important positions and that is good for the future of the club,” he said. “We are still trying to get more but they have to be of the best quality. We don’t sign players just to get numbers in.” It made me think about how often we heard this in Moyes era and we knew it was code for we've got no cash so we will see what happens. Now I actually believe we are looking for quality and if doesn't come up we won't waste our time
