I just watched a 10 min YouTube video of all of his goals from last season. Only one header.

Swerve.

I did the same thing, wrote him off, then I saw him play a week or so ago and I thought he was great. Keep in mind, he's not going to be an elite player I don't think, but he's pretty good. He's really friggin huge, but his feet are good, his link up play is outstanding - he does SUCH a good job of coming back to the ball, holding it, distributing it, his composure looked really good, too. Good passer, great runs, really intelligent player, and although he's pretty graceful, he obviously can use his size to shove some people around.

We could do worse. I would be a bit disappointed with him in terms of course compared to some of the names, but he does play and is exactly what we could use. Pure target guy.

Not saying the club are angels but there's right and wrong ways to go about stuff. Going AWOL and chatting wham to the media isn't helping him. Even the Atletico captain sounded like he thought he was acting like a tit.

Put yourself in his shoes though, it's world cup season, you're one of the best strikers in the world and your club tells you over a text you're not wanted and they're putting a stupid price tag on you so the team you want to join won't bid because it's too high.

They're all drama queens but it's part and parcel of being a high profile superstar

Dost has scored 1 in something like 17 for Holland, who haven't qualified for anything recently, so my point was he's hardly prolific in a relatively poor Dutch team. Woods actually scores every game and a half at international level, but yeah, not the same quality overall.

My point was Dost at £40M & massive wages is hardly guaranteed to be good enough based on this. Woods might not be good enough either but at half the cost and half the wages I know the gamble I'd rather take.

this is the new ev, we don't worry about budget signings - we go for the best that's available ;)

at swansea he was the complete forward, everything into his feet stuck and he set up others brilliantly as well as scoring loads himself, if he was that bony i'd be all over him, but since then he's done nothing and he has definitely lost his hunger.

He was great for his 2 seaons at Swansea but the money from City turned him into a comfortable bench warmer, you can tell he doesn't care as long as he gets his wedge from his pitiful display on loan at Stoke, if he had any passion and desire to succeed he would have done well but he just doesn't have it any more which is a shame as there was a damn fine footballer in him, such a wasted talent

not quite lukaku level of first touch

He was gash last year though think he scored something like 2 in 11. If he can find the form he had at Swansea he'd be a great signing, that was 3 years ago now though. If he's still on a pretty long contract with citeh a loan deal would be a good option. Gotta take that dob with a pinch of salt though.
