I think you're seriously overestimating the state of the squad that he took over from Martinez.

Koeman has helped develop Davies, DCL & Coleman into first team regulars, we've signed Keane who's a massive upgrade on every CB who's currently at the squad, Jordan Pickford a massive upgrade on Tim Howard the no1 keeper before Koeman came in. Gueye and Schinderlin are two fantastic CM's.

Bolaise and Lookman have joined the club, both incrediblely quick and will run at players. Onyekuru is another who fits the bill, we'll obviously have to wait until next season to watch him play however.

I've got no doubts Rooney will become a good signing, he's already showing that. If we can sign a quality striker he'll make a quality squad player, Siggy is one of the best performing midfielders over the last few years, cannot wait to see him get up and about. Klassen needs time to show what he's got too.

We've cleared out McGeady, Cleverly, Oviedo, Pienaar, Howard, Kone, McAleny and Gibson. We've also had Stones and Lukaku sold, the club really couldn't have done a lot more to keep them and every player has their price, especially when they don't want to be here.

Massively jumping the gun here mate, we've been taking the right steps. If another quality CB and striker aren't signed by the end of the window I'll be one of the first to complain over it with you but the fact of the matter is the window is still open.
Best to drop Coleman from the three players who you say Koeman helped develop into first team regulars. Coleman was a regular in team and indeed one of the best RB in Europe before Koeman joined.

Judging by Ronkoes comments about Costa this morning it ain't going to happen.

...for me the key comment was about signing players who are "available". It indicates we might have enquired about the likes of Costa and Dolberg but have been told they are going nowhere. Similarly, it's difficult to see how a club like Leicester would make Vardy available at this stage of the window with little or no chance of a replacement coming in.

The key consideration with the list of players we're linked with is whether they are likely to be made available by the selling club.
