Part of Walsh's success at Leicester was finding previously discarded players and bringing them in because he knew they could deliver. I think he's seen that in Okaka, and I reckon he'll be an excellent signing if we get him

This is what Steve Walsh does. Vardy was a washed up never was when he got signed for Leicester. The spine of that team were cast offs and rejects, and they ended up doing well for themselves in the end

Things haven't worked out for Okaka at Watford, but that doesn't mean they won't work out at Everton

Mikey mate hes a big fat lump, hes utterly terrible, I honestly think I could do a better job.

Things haven't worked out anywhere he's been. Kinell Michael almost as bad as your lee Griffith shouts

He'll only seem a bargain if he wins the league with them and stays there a long time, in which case you'd imagine all of those add ons will be activated. The deals you speak of that make Lukaku seem cheap include add ons too.

Paul Joyce said it was £100m including £10m for Rooney, and funnily enough the wage cut Rooney has taken works out at roughly £10m over his 2 year contract I believe.

Your point about Pickford, Keane etc I definitely agree with. Pickford especially I suspect will turn out to be a steal.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Whats the obsession with getting a big lump of a player to play upfront.

A target man is someone who will hold the ball up, its not only 6ft4 15st players who can do this.

This.

That's why Vincent janssen wouldnt be a bad choice. I still think that when he knows he's the first striker and you give him confidence that he'll be able to score 15 goals. Besides that he can hold the ball up and works his socks off. He's really a teamplayer and that's what koeman likes.

STEFANO OKAKA

Everton are considering a shock loan move for Watford striker Stefano Okaka.

The 28-year-old journeyman scored the Hornets' first goal of the season in their opening-weekend draw with Liverpool, but has not figured in any of their three games since.

He is way down the pecking order at Vicarage Road after the arrivals of fellow frontmen Andre Gray and Richarlison, with new boss Marco Silva targeting Leicester's Islam Slimani as a replacement.

However, Goodison counterpart Ronald Koeman is a big fan of Okaka, who caught the Dutchman's eye after scoring twice against his Toffees last season.

He was good at RSCA, a crowd favourite. Had to leave after a falling out with the trainer - there was not other option since he wanted to fight the trainer (not a smart move; he felt vindicated though since the trainer had said that he was fat. Okaka replied that he didn't have the right to call him fat etc...). Basically he started the season looking like Ashley Williams so the coach had a point. He brought loads of spectacle and was frequently talked about in the papers; red cards ten minutes in to the game etc. He's special, a bit of a rascal. Van Holsbeeck had almost sold him to the Chinese for 20 mil €; unfortunately Okaka behaved very inappropriate when meeting the Chinese owners of his prospective new team (and they were going to give him loads of money) and the Chinese decided to not go trough with it. At the same meeting they also discovered that he isn't good at counting. He is immature, but he provides spectacle, and tends to cut corners in training. Big fan.
