Disagree. This comes out every year as if we're all idiots who just like to get excited on deadline day.Mate. Nothing that will happen in the next 36 hours will make it a disaster of a window. It may well turn out to be the worst end to a window ever, but it won't completely overturn all the good we did early in the window. We'll still have a stronger squad, but a worse starting XI. The thing that makes it most annoying/frustrating, is that just one or two more quality players in the right positions would have made it the best window ever. Nt just for us but arguably for any premier team.
The daft thing is, had we done all our business in the last week rather than in June/July, people would probably be saying it's been a decent window. I liken it to a 2-2 draw. But instead of coming back from a 2-0 deficit we've conceded 2 in injury time. Everton that.
Anyway. Hope springs eternal.
In my opinion, at this moment in time we are weaker than we were at the end of last season. Goals win games, and we're going to struggle to get them. It wouldn't matter when our other business was done, a quality striker to replace Lukaku is the major priority this window, and it needs to be done very quickly.
