Summer Transfer Window 2017

Dear Bedwetters,

Over the summer we have strengthened all across the first team squad, our under 23 squad and for the future.

Now Lukaku left, he is a future World Class striker who went for £90m. To replace him, we would need to spend north of £60m which we don't have because (wait for the net spend meffs to jump in) spend money all over the squad not just in one position and we have upped our wages to buy better quality players in.

But we knew Lukaku was going, yes we did and we bought players in before the market went stupid. We had targets in Giroud who for some reason decided to stay with Arsenal where he hardly plays so is this the type of ambitious player we want.

We have been linked to every striker under the sun and we shouldn't got someone in earlier but that's the market.

Look at Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and Them, they are all over the place in terms of targets and are throwing money to grab anyold squad player to please the fans.

We still have to shift Barkley, McCarthy and Niasse on which I believe will happen and we will bring in our targets, left centre back and striker plus a few extras.

Not stop the dummy spitting and just look at what we have - Pickford, Keane, Gueye, Schneiderlin, Rooney, Sandro and Sigurdsson. We would never dreamt of these players 5, 10, 15 years ago.

Everton need a new approach and the team will achieve this but if our own fans knock every step we try and take, why bother supporting us?

Go buy a PSG top and update your Kodi boxes losers!

What a crap post.

We need a striker. End of.

Im outting it out there

Eden Dzeko, Olivier Giroud, Anthony Martial or Michy Batshuyai please and thankyou

I never mentioned what the manager wants/doesn't want.
No, I did.

You were suggesting that fans aren't happy unless we sign players for large fees, no? I was suggesting that the fans may be unhappy because it's clear that the manager is unhappy, and that is unlikely to be because he thinks we signed a £5m bargain instead of spending £50m.

I'm going to have to ask @Bungle what 'Collective Mum's' are I think

They were an 80's pop group consisting of 4 ordinary women, sadly their careers didn't go the way they planned and they ended up making low budget porn movies and specialised in water sports, this set them up perfectly for a lifetime of dealing with their Evertonian sons.

The lead singer, Deloris, once commented that their porn exploits helped them recognise when a man was about to release the contents of his bladder and it allowed them to spot the signs in their own sons as transfer deadline approached, thus they were able to mop up piss before it even hit the sheets. Deloris has estimated a saving of at least £32.80 in washing powder as a result of this talent.

I really could see a Ross/Michi deal happening, even though Michi is not quite what we need at least he isn't Okaka

No, I did.

I suggested that the poster I replied to saying he'd be happy with a cheap striker as long as he was quality was lying otherwise the cheap quality striker we signed would be lauded as Lukaku's replacement already. Pretty straightforward post.

It's Okaka or that Kenneth lad from Cardiff. That's our options. Make sure you all book a Euro away this year lads... it's gonna be a while before we are back. #fuckoffeverton

So in the last 15 years, Everton could not reasonably have expected to:

Sign a goalkeeper from relegated Sunderland
Sign a defender from Burnley (bottom half side)
Sign a midfielder from relegated Villa
Sign a midfielder from United that had turned out for Southampton in League One and was surplus to requirements
Sign a striker from United who it was perceived his best days were behind him
Sign a player from a lower tier Spanish side
Sign a player from a nearly relegated Swansea

Similar or superior profiles:
Martyn
Jagielka
Cahill (lower league midfielder)
Anyone here really, let's just put Fellaini for a laugh
Saha
Arteta
Again anyone here really, let's say Bolasie

@mccole I am concerned that you have the processing faculties of pre-cooked haddock

Another 'cigarette' break wasted (can't even say f*g break now in this PC world) come on Walsh, earn your corn you muppet.

Reminder from 01 July - buy whoever you want, just make sure we replace Rom and get back up for Jags, Willams and Bainsey.

Shouldn't be too hard as were getting £90m for Rom.

Whilst you'll be what, sitting there dead smug that we haven't bought the most vital cog in the team? That sort of post makes you come across as a bell.
If Friday comes and we're still without a striker I'll be as pissed off as the rest of you. There's still 30-some hours left of the window and I guarantee we're working on deals behind the scenes.
Moaning about it now (when WE can't do an awful lot about it) makes you seem like a desparate little bish.

Think this raises a point I've been meaning to make for quite a while this summer. If you look at the profile of players we've signed this Summer why do fans then feel like it's a guarantee we should be signings strikers from the Arsenal's, Chelsea's, Roma's etc. of the world? When have we shown we can prize away talent from top teams? And no I don't consider Ajax a top team any more.
