We turned down a 16m for McCarthy in January, Newcastle are now in the premier league, they are desperate to sign players with PL experience to keep them in it. 20m is very achievable.
Granted it will be more difficult to get that figure for Niasse, but that's what was agreed with hull should they have stayed up. Maybe someone else will be foolish enough to pay it.

Think part of the reason we turned that down for McCarthy was due to needing numbers in the squad. He hasn't really played since January and has been at the centre of a high profile spat between club and country over his fitness.

You could be right though as there have been some mental transfers going on recently but I just don't see it happening personally.
