What isn't a good start about that?

We have europa league and finished well above the rest in the league.

Good players wil want to join but it takes time

Sig - wage issue

Sandro - waiting for ban verdict

Pickford/ a gk - imminent

Lots of links to cbs

Iheanacho - doesn't want to leave city but strong interest

Klassen - strong interest

Good start to me...
I'll only consider it a good start if the players eventually sign for us at the beginning of the window.

of course i do, Why haven't we got any deals set up? we have had, Koeman Walsh, Moshiri in place for 12 months at least yet here we are considering a swoop for cuca effin Martina

Not just getting at you mate, but we all need to chill out a bit. This will be the first window where we now supposedly have a settled in owner with a settled manager who has been in the role for a reasonable time. This is likely to be the first window for decades where we might actually make some real progress. Sit back and be patient. There's bound to be some underwhelming links and signings, not every top target will be reported let alone sign. As much as we'd all sign for nothing, any "take us to the next level" type signing is going to take a big wedge of cash and a lot of persuasion to come to us.
It's not like the days of old when Chelsea or Man City suddenly got massive investment with no financial fair play rules to abide by and just paid out crazy money to get a deal done. (Those teams have now all been conveniently protected).
Early signings are much more likely to be the underwhelming Martina type as the higher profile players won't just have us as an option. Koeman, Walsh, Moshiri even Kenwright won't just have players like Martina in mind or be going for.

if man city can be pro-active and make 43 mil bids to sign players why cant we do the same...

there's no harm in bidding for a big name, he may not want to join us but at least try

I want to see us at least attempt to try and sign players like James Rodriguez to take us to the next level

How do you know we aren't?

People seem to think Man City managed to big, thrash out terms, speak to player, thrash out terms, fly him over all in a day. That's not how it works. We will be speaking to people, for god sake Ronald was in Malaga just the other week with an agent of a player. Things are happening, don't worry.
