Perhaps when the Steve Walshs of this world get their secretaries to get Mee on the phone, they just look blankly and think that the chief scout/ DoF is just going even more down the mentalist route and should probably get off FIFA '19 and get some fresh air?

Thing is the 2018 World Cuo held things up, fully expect stuff to kick off in the next 2 weeks

Why would the world cup hold up us getting digne, Bernard and richarlison, gomes and zouma?

Out of all the players we signed only mina was at the world cup.

Because us signing a player effects the selling club finding a replacement, who may be waiting on a WC player, or a player who's club are waiting on WC player.

Very much a chain reaction is football.

Bernard was the only one that possibly could have been done earlier but even then that apparently has come complications.

That does make sense apart from the fact barcalona didn't sign a replacment LB, they signed Arthur on the 9th of July who would be your gomes replacement, Chelsea didn't sign a new cb and Watford signed del but that was before the world cup anyway.

So none of our players from last season apart from mina have any impact on the world cup. Or any of the players the the selling clubs bought.

I understand your point on the whole and agree on it generally but last year this wasn't the case for us.
