Agree to disagree on this one. He’s a proper box to box cm if I’ve ever seen one and is exactly what Marco and Brands are looking for.

He's an attacking mid. Clever player, especially with the ball, but he's not a CM and definitely not a DM. He'd struggle worse than Klaassen in the PL. Swerve.

Dutch teams list their formation of being 4-3-3 even when it isn't. Meaning an attacking mid is listed as a center mid even if he isn't. Van de Beek almost exclusively played in front of Schone and De Jong in a similar role to what Gylfi currently does for us. Whether he can play deeper or not is up for debate but he didn't this year.

Honestly I don't mind people trusting the websites but sometimes they don't account for things like this weird Dutch tradition of always pretending they're playing a system that descends from Cruyff's 4-3-3.
