Just been thinking about the right winger issues and I think that neres is a no go. Think we're going to end up with either malcom or under.

I'm also starting to get the feeling we're not getting a striker. Just my feelings of course, any opinions?
Silva said in an interview on Portugues tv that we are after 5 players one of whom is a striker

He specialises in not being very good.

Honestly tho, he looks a decent prospect, very good defensive STATS, very, very average going forward, I read they have agreed to pay 55m, if so it can only mean that Steve Walsh is already at United.

Hes still young tho, so im sure with the right coaching he could grow into a decent enough player.

Oh.

I really like the lad but yes they are overpaying. It's a strange one really, as I sense if he went to City very quickly he would develop forwards. At united I think he would stall. Learning under Walker for a couple of years he would emerge a beast.

United have no choice but to overpay. They aint gonna attract established CL level players without offering insane prices/wages, and any club with a promising youngster know that.

To be honest they've really made a mess of things post Ferguson and to me look the most in trouble of the sides above us. They spend money like it's going out of fashion and tend to be in the habit of going for the new shiny thing and signing them at any cost. As a club infrastructure they seem streets behind the likes of us never mind their city rivals. (I mean in a footballing sense, commercial performance is still very strong).

Teams will see them coming a mile off.
