Important reminder there mate. Some people get confused between youth and quality, and others seem to mistake blind hatred for a player with "every other left-back is better than that player"

The thing is we were absolute turd in both seasons that they were playing games.

I definitely went overboard on Garbutt after he put in a good cross in a meaningless Europa League game.

Still can’t believe he’s got no international caps yet.

I’m with you here. Lille play the game like everyone else and will obviously try and get as much as they can, but they’ll sell no doubt about it. He seems a talented young Striker by all accounts and like you say, ticks all the boxes in terms of what we’re supposed to be looking for and building.

Would be an intriguing and exciting signing IMO.

Both could play upfront together/alone or we could go for 433 and they could play off the wide forward positions.

Our fan base is notorious for this as a young player has a decent game or two, and suddenly they’re expected to be the next wonder child.

In reality, the expectations should be quite the opposite as many (err most) of these so called ‘future stars’ simply don’t make it at the top level.
