Kent is not struggling to make a impact up here guy starts most games and looks good has a defensive side to his game to which is why he will find another Pl team one of the few Pool players that has handled it unlike Ejaria
Tbh mate it’s not the point whether he’s struggling or not. To be worth even a punt he’s have to be setting the world alight up here. Scottish football is a terrible standard and he isn’t standing out.

Oh here we go another salty English man judging a nation with a population the size of the West Midlands
With serious history both Scouse clubs with connected with Scots and Scottish teams
Ranked 10th best league in world is not actually bad for a small country
Watch a lot of Rangers games do you then?
How you doing that when Scottish football's not even shown
Kent is doing well I watch him week in week out
And he is growing and getting better each game he plays
Even the minks have been linked in buying him
And before you start I come down and watch Everton to
When I can afford it

Assuming we sign Gomes which looks likely and say we keep Gana, would you be happy with Siggurdsson or would you rather a replacement?

My issue is im not a fan of our midfield 3 yet the club seem desperate to sign Gomes and we'll either keep Gana or sign a like for like replacement if he goes. The question is therefore do we persist with Gyfi or find someone better suited to the way Silva plays?
I hate that midfield. Gomes is not disciplined enough or athletic enough to play anywhere but the farthest forward midfielder in a Silva 4-3-3 against good teams. Against crap teams, yes, it's fine. It's just too darn slow and too reliant on Gana playing out of his mind. I actually think Sigurdsson is better in that role personally as he will work his tail off, actually tackle & interception the ball every now and then, and has tremendous passing range. Plus, he can score from distance. This idea that he can't play the Tom Cleverly role at Watford is just silly at least to me.

I want a Doucoure type to play with Gana - someone a bit more of a #6, with more discipline and better ability to move the ball forward. Sangare is the guy I think we can get to make that happen. Denis Zakaria would be another option, but Sangare has a high ceiling and incredible workrate. I also think he can play as a true 6 if he has to. I personally wouldn't sign Gomes, though, although it's tough to argue that he's not worth 25/30M.

THAT BEING SAID (I need to hit my capital letter quotient), perhaps Gomes can improve getting into passing lanes with time learning Silva's tactics. He showed some signs against West Ham, but come on, that midfield of Snodgrass and Declan Rice - who literally passes it forward fewer times a game than I have fingers. I just want us to physically dominate the center of the pitch. I don't see that happening with BOTH Gomes and Sigurdsson in the same lineup.

I even think if we move Morgan, McCarthy, and Besic, even if we sign Gomes, I would go after Sangare and maybe another cheap CM/DM. I just think it's been our biggest problem the last 2 years.

I’d like some one else that can sit deeper than Gomes and Gana (or Davies or our new signing) and pull the strings from deep and really drive use forward as a unit
