I'll be honest, anything over £40m for zaha will feel like bolasie mark 2 for me. Luckily at this moment in time i have far more faith than that in brands

To be honest I wouldn’t mind us buying him, even at 65mil I think he has a lot to offer. A lot more than Walcott, while Bernard technically is better Zaha is a much bigger threat around the box, as he would be more than DCL if he played up front.
The only issue fir me is, do Brands & Silva see him as a 2 in 1 player to cover both the wide areas and through the middle. And he’s the only forward we buy. I’m not sure if buy 2 for the same money IE Malcom & Kean would be a better deal.
Better i certainly agree, but anything over that ammount i'd find very hard to defend

He’s a lot better than bolasie and to be fair he’s improved every season. And like it’s been mentioned before as he’s palaces main danger man, he’s very tightly marked every game

People are horribly underrating Zaha he’s a terrific footballer and makes things happen. But having said that, for the figures that are being bandied about you’d want something even better really.
There were a few journos last weekend saying McCarthy to Palace was close and should be sorted early this week, that hasn’t happened and he even featured tonight at Wigan.
I just wonder whether there’s legs to the Zaha stories and McCarthy will be used as part of the negotiations..
