I really would be looking at out of contract central defenders. I’m sure Gibson’s time will come, but really, is there a team in the Prem who play teenage central defenders?

Got to say.. £28m initial for Iwobi with still upside feels less risky for us than £70m for Zaha. Yeah I don’t think he is as much a game breaker but that fee is at least fair. Give him 2 years he might just be up there with Zaha standards.. if not at least it’s not a financial noose Zaha would have been had that not worked out.

Yeah Zaha isn't £40million better than Iwobi and Iwobi is younger and more room for improvement.
