With January looking to be a damp squib with no real value in buying anyone, i thought i would open the summer transfer window thread.

Would it be worth looking at someone like Mason Mount? Even if it was on loan?

Mate they are all rubbish that would barely get into the average championship team let alone a premier league team, we need to get shut of every player on that list, no garuntee that someone like Henry will ever get a work permit, sounds unlikely by all accounts. There is 10 players on that list, i would much rather get rid of them taking a hit to replace with 3 or 4 quality players who actually want to be here and who can contribute to the team.

Henry and Vlasic because they are very young, have done well on loan and will definitely improve with time.

We should have a good look at them in preseason. Worst comes to worst, we will make a few quid on that pair.

The rest including Schneiderlin, Tosun and Walcott or on very big money and will be very hard to shift.

I see a few players from other clubs have been "released" today following not being sold or loaned on deadline day, wonder if we might do this with some players, basically pay them off and give them a free transfer and then they sign for someone else. This probably wouldn't be worth it for the players with 6 months left, but might be worth considering for those on longer contracts up to 2 years

It's clear why we are crap. If we had a bunch of fighters they'd be screaming, taking paycuts etc to get a new club and prove evertonians wrong.

Get rid of as much as the dross we have on the books, big big ask, and will have to settle on loaning a few out again, but hopefully we shift a fair few.

At least 3 players in to walk into the starting 11, and a decent youngster or 2 is what I'm hoping for.
