I wonder if Andre Gomes may be taken back to Barcelona and looked at again by the management.
I have no doubt he would have had a big influence on that game on Tuesday and I thought he was exactly the kind of player that team needed to give them a bit of steel and composure.
I will never understand how they allowed Digne to leave.
I mentioned this earlier in the season.
It’s highly unlikely he’ll ever turn out again for Barca. His stint there went as badly as it’s possible to get.

Low on confidence, in and out of the team and the fans turned on him so badly that other first teamers had to plead to the fans to take it easy on him.

Yeah, he ain’t going back.

...yep, funny I was searching ‘top scorers’ in the South American leagues yesterday as I can see Brands exploiting this market.
It’s sad that we were linked to Gabigol over the winter because of how well he was doing in the Brazilian league last year and being the top scorer because it should’ve been Pedro but his injury cut him half a season short and he still made it near the top of the leagues top scorers

No.

As good as he is we absolutely must not lob mental money at players who may not turn out any good over here.

Brands basically said this himself.
Go get the next Ziyech. I love that he can play right, but are we looking for playmaking midfielders? If the idea is to sell Vlasic, get someone younger and talented. Julian Brandt is awesome, but even he's expensive.

Marcus Thurman & Ludovic Blas from soon to be relegated Guingamp could be some cheap, left-field gems.
Saw a stat that behind Boufal (who is light years ahead of everyone) Thurman has the second highest completed dribbles per 90 in Europe’s top 5 leagues. That’s actually deceptively good for how big he is and he also has been carrying his team all season being miles ahead in ability. Wouldn’t be my first choice but definitely a good shout

I've watched him a bit, but can't make my mind up. Still young, but also plays like it. His team isn't great, but there is certainly physical talent there.

Plays wide left even those he's a massive lump. Seen him for a few years now, mostly for France, one of those rare famous sons that is actually pretty good (looking at you Enzo Zidane).

I know I’m being unrealistic with signing him but he a absolute talent on the field.

I think the thing that hit me the most about Ziyech after yesterday’s tireless running and flying all over the pitch making 80-90 yard runs down the field to be involved with the attack and defense is the fact that while doing all this and spending that much energy Ziyech is in the middle of Ramadan and was fasting the whole day leading up to the game.

They boys heart and desire to win the game kept him going when his body was failing.

I didn’t realize this while the game was on but I saw him and Mazraoui drinking that energy gel stuff around the 20th minute after the coaches threw it to them on the field. It’s because the sun finally set and they were allowed to eat.

Not a religious man myself but what they showed during that game for the conditions they were playing in was unreal.

Yeah he hurts my head a little trying to figure out how he works there and how he moves so well. Could see him exploding in the prem whether it be for us or not.

Amine Harit *doffs cap* @CRIMHEAD
Vlasic is his #2 comp on Transfermarkt. Hilarious.

Not entirely related, but it would also help to have a productive academy and intelligent loan policy. That's also why it ticks me off seeing American playmakers like Alex Mendez and Ulysses Llanez sign with German clubs for free.
