Maxwel Cornet from Lyon has been playing his tail off down the stretch. Right sided forward, left footed. Just a thought.

I was watching the OM / OL match on replay and N'Dombele made a ridiculous look away 40 yard ball right on Depay's foot on a break that was one of the most impressive passes I think I've seen all year. He's so demonstrative on the pitch it's downright annoying. Got a bit of Pogba in him. But quite a talent.

Ocampos started up front and looked good - had ideas, good on the dribble, obviously big and strong, but even when he tricked the right back, he couldn't separate when he went by him. Not sure he's the answer.

Cornet is wank.

Ok, look, I think the US team is going to be decent, but not all of these guys are players to watch. Durkin was great in the U17 WC, but he's not that great. Akinola is a good athlete, but not a great player. Pomykal and Weah, absolutely. Alex Mendez and Ulysses Llanez are actually more interesting prospects than almost anyone in the squad. Dest, Ledezma, de la Fuente could all be really good, but they aren't in the league yet of guys like N'Dicka, Soumare, or Leao.
You’ve missed off a lot of talents here mate.

.....I understand Everton’s Korede Adedoyin is yet to extend his current contract, he’s in the Nigeria squad and is also worth keeping an eye on. There’ll be plenty of fine young players on show.

Shame there’s no striker rumours apart from Mitrovic yet. Presuming Niasse and Tosun go we only have one recognised striker in Calvert Lewin.

Ridiculous that we’re in this position when at one point we had Lukaku Etoo Naismith Kone and all we’ve done is spent money since.

...the international window doesn’t open until next month and even then, I understand deals can’t be done with Italian, German and Spanish clubs until July.

It’s pretty rare for newly promoted teams to buy a player on 100k a week tho. It upsets the whole wage structure at the club and players want pay rises , so signing bolasie on 75k especially after everyone has seen he’s not actually even a championship winger , would cost a club about another 300k a week in pay rises

Many of the championship clubs that have an eye on promotion are now already structured so that players have a "premier league wage" and a "championship wage", depending on which division they are in. Look at the players Fulham signed last season, it didnt work for them, but they splashed the cash. This signed; Babel, Markovic, Sari, Mitrovic on big wages and Schurrle on loan also on big wages.

For some of these teams coming up, they know they are getting a £100m to play with and its worth a gamble to sign players with a bit of premier league experience, like Bolasie for about £10m, on the off chance they can somehow stay up
