All over now. Would hope there was a back up plan for Zaha....but no.....Everton that
Watford have just confirmed Sarr. There's been zero talk on that today apart from somebody saying it's unlikely to go through.

Basically what I am saying is that you can keep these things quiet. I agree any more deals are looking unlikely but I'll wait until the window is closed before I start kicking off.

Plausible scenario #36:
- Brands finally meets CP's 80m price (with a couple of players to make the numbers)
- Parish goes 'actually, nah. Want 100m now'
- Brands hangs up
- Zaha gets the hump that his promised move at the 80m is denied, and slams in a TR.
- Parish panics, lines up a replacement, then rings Brands and says, 'ok, you can have him. What did we say, 100m?'
- Brands comes back, 'Nah, we'll have him for 60m. Your call...'
- Parish eyes disgruntled and betrayed player, with replacement waiting at a German airport, and contemplates his next move...
- Brands sits and waits for phone to ring...

ZAHA STAYING AT PALACE
Sky Sports News have been told by Crystal Palace's that their business is done and Wilfried Zaha is staying at the club.

If it was that simple. He had an agreement with Palace he could leave if a big offer came in. How many weeks has this been going on? We've made our bids, he's had a hufty necause Palace won't budge, but the hufty is with Palace, not us.
But anyway, thanks for explaining the bleedin' obvious ;)
That's true, but I qualified it with 'assuming' so I'm really just hoping we haven't just left him hanging there which could mean that nobody will hand one in for us in future...possibly.
In less than 90 minutes we move on with or without him and, as you say, it'll most likely be their problem after that. ;)

To me Rojo is coming in for his Premier League experience (More than a 100 games) more than anything else. It's good to have an experienced guy who knows the League in a back up position

I just wish we were loaning him, because it gives us insurance if doesn't deliver

If it's a perm then we could be bringing in possibly even more dead weight with no way of getting rid

Im quite happy to bring him in on loan as well. Experience and has a bit of bite. But paying 20 something mill on him. Id rather have kept jags as number 4 and add the 20 mill plus and wages to another attacker.
