Think could work with mcneil sounda like what we had when sidebe was here.
I mean not for me. That’s only one specific scenario that full-back could work. What if McNeil got injured and Gray played? We’d be doomed.

Yeah but that's what worries me ( the short term goals ) and the more I think about it, I think that is our game-plan.This is all true.
There is lots wrong with signign Young, but accepting relegation next season isn't it.
It's more indicative of a club that can't think beyond sbort term goals.
You have to admit there is a high level of hysteria at the moment.
Even the possibility of signing AY who will be free and a squad player, a similar signing to Milner to Brighton has brought a much stronger reaction than I would think such a low profile signing merits.
Nothing like giving a manager some time eh... let's see how our squad get on with a proper pre season.. they'll be fitter than we'll have seen in quite some time.Yeah but that's what worries me ( the short term goals ) and the more I think about it, I think that is our game-plan.
Survival until we move in to BMD Which to the Board will be looked at as 'Job well done'.
We have Dyche, the perfect manager to achieve that with such a poor, lacking squad.
Most big contracts will have run out by that time, so we can finally say farewell to such a crotch of
We will be clear of any FFP sanctions.
MSP will finally be in place and we will be ready for a complete reset of the club, from board to squad ( Including Manager ).
Experienced Players like Young with only a 12month Contract , And Utilising the loan system, while selling off what we can, will be looked upon as a great Achievement from the Hierarchy..
It's because we just stayed up two years on the trot and have been given very few positives from the business so far...
I was actually close to agreeing with you there, well on some of the points anyway.
But you had to go and kill it with your 'Zen fans like ourselves' statement.
I mean it wouldn't surprise me if your whole post wasn't somehow constructed in the middle of one of your daily Yoga sessions...
I do see that but it isn't as if the transfer window is now closed. We all know what is needed, the manager knows better than anybody what is needed and the owners will know that relegation will cost them far more than the signing of some new players... and we have been close enough to that already.Almost as if we’ve survived relegation by the skin of our teeth twice, have been desperate for attacking quality for an entire year and we are back for pre season with the only strong links being a 38 year old full back on a free.
If a fullback needs a winger to do his defending for him, then we shouldn’t be signing them.Think could work with mcneil sounda like what we had when sidebe was here.
This morning...most mornings...I agree with this. But every few days a panic sets in that we will sell Onana or Pickford and we will see no signs of those sales improving our squad. But today I am calmI do see that but it isn't as if the transfer window is now closed. We all know what is needed, the manager knows better than anybody what is needed and the owners will know that relegation will cost them far more than the signing of some new players... and we have been close enough to that already.
Our spending budget will be limited unless we end up selling someone like Onana and I don't think we will . I think we may have to wait for our signings because we can't afford to just give clubs exactly what they want for a player but I believe they will come.
I think you are probably right - tread water until we move and get new owners.Yeah but that's what worries me ( the short term goals ) and the more I think about it, I think that is our game-plan.

The issue is if you try and tread water you sink. If you aren't progressing you are going backward and if we go backwards we go down. We need more than a striker we need six or seven players just for a competitive squad.I think you are probably right - tread water until we move and get new owners.
Which is why I won't be stressing about new signings, other than hoping we get a desparately needed new striker
I think no matter who we bring in we are going to be in a relegation scrap. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't lay the foundations for the future next season. Bringing in stop gap oldies will just mean we have to do all this again next year. I can handle being bottom six in 23/4...I'm resigned to it, in fact...but want to see the basis of a team that can push on in 24/5.Sooner everyone realises we are going for 17th the better your summer will be, if it means then Ashley Young for a year then so be it. Need bodies any bodies with premier league experience.... Would I be happy with it NO!!
But beggars can't be choosers. Bargain basement buys and loans is our lot this summer.
We do, but I have made my peace that it isn't going to happen. I'm happy to wait 12 months for our next sugar daddy to rip up the ffp rulebook (hopefully with better signings than the last one made)The issue is if you try and tread water you sink.
