Brighton fans I know are pretty fond of him and thought he'd do well for us. He was an important player for them as they were progressing from relegation battlers to Premiership staples. You could argue that we should have used him as well as they did once our positions were reversed.

He might have done well played with DCL but we had him up top on his own and expected him to work miracles

Yeah, also a promising young player who a team plays is worth more than a promising young player that a team has deemed "surplus" mostly.

It's down to Lampard though. He clearly wanted to play football on the deck in those first few games (which would have suited Maupay) but rather than stick with it and actually coach players into a system, we had those few weeks were we chopped and changed and it all just became a mix of stuff, none of which was actually productive in anyway.

By that much, I doubt it, also usually strikers are more expensive than midfielders they score goals.

To be fair don't Blackburn have to sell Wharton, so that would make him surplus. Cannon should not be sold imo we have already let one young striker go, are trying to sell Maupay, also our one and only striker is permanently injured.

Lampard, not so much.

Dyche is better than Lampard (duh) and that may have given the illusion of competence but he has a clear inability to put a team out that can play a complete game. He has to give too much in attack for his defense to work or vice versa.

The protests will be too late after Christmas - we’re making exactly the same mistakes as we did before last season, only the squad is in worse shape than then.

Gambling on DCL staying fit is potential suicide - I hope the lad does stay fit, but we are going to need hardly any injuries across the entire squad, and we know our overall fitness and general luck can’t give us that confidence. Madness.

It’s negligence from the owner, chairman and DoF - they are unfit for purpose.

I wouldn't be surprised ( depending on any transfer activity regarding strikers )
With Dyche just playing DCL in home games.
Unless by some magic force, the lad actually comes back in full working condition...
