If we actually had any money, the Leeds lot would have been in by now.

Starting to look like the only hope of properly building the squad is one more big sale, these little deals help a bit but can only go so far. Onana the likeliest but buying clubs have other options so who knows. Just need to get something done soon.

That literally would’ve been us if Doucoure’s volley hadn’t gone in on the final day of the season. The fact that goal went in had nothing to do with Moshiri, but the situation we would’ve found ourselves in as a football club has everything to do with him.

I agree with you, he has done well to get the stadium to where it is but he has really taken his eye off the football aspect and it is showing. I expect the next few years will be tough and the strategy looks very much like finishing 17th is a job well done. My worry for Everton is that this coming season you don't get the Doucoure volley and there doesn't appear to be anyone at senior management with the footballing management skills to fix this. I think a lot of faith has been put in Dyche as he appears to be the only one qualified to put a footballing strategy in place for the next few years. Hopefully, he will reproduce what he did at Burnley and build a mid/lower mid team that is safe from relegation and then when the stadium is up and running there will be budget for football and you can start the rebuild process properly

Makes sense because with only one year left on his contract we’d have had to sell him for a reduced fee this summer.
