Pickford
Tarkowski, Branthwaite
Onana, Garner, Doucoure, Gana
Iwobi, McNeil
DCL

We have the nucleus of a decent top half team. Need at least 6 quality additions.

If we could somehow offload :

Dele
Townsend
Davies
Vinagre
Keane
Holgate
Godfrey
Maupey
Gray
Coady - released
Coleman - brilliant servant, but big wage. No room for sentiment.

Can’t imagine any transfer value, but would free up a lot of wages with almost zero effect on 1st team.

Can’t see either Patterson or Mykolenko ever being EPL standard, but good enough backup for now. Need to sign 1st choice RB & LB.

Obviously need a striker, ideally 2, a winger & a CB.

I would keep Mina if he agreed to reduce his wage or include a pay/play element.

Hope to see early business, not wait for the purple dildo as usual.

COYB!!!!

I want to sign three or four players I have never heard of who end up being absolutely brilliant.

Pienaar for us but like most Brighton and Brentford players.

This is how I'd personally look at the squad next season. 4-5 really good, sensible signings.

Nkounkou will be sold for 2m Euros.

Mills on the bench for like 2 times. Not a first team player for now.

Warrington is unknown and should be loaned out to a Championship side. Not a first team player for now.

Cannon 3rd choice ST ok with that.

I can see Patterson coming good. I think he's shown signs.

A number of people talk about keeping Mina. Hasn't he informed the club of his intention to move on & played his last game?

Yesterday Dyche had to name two goalkeepers and two potential debutants on the bench.

Played a team without a Centre forward or recognised full backs.

You might say it was bad luck with injuries, but largely its the culmination of poor planning, squad balancing and building.

There was a little nugget of a snippet from Sean yesterday in an acknowledgment of being able to sign players, we may be selling first.

Dyche rather had 8 players on the bench yesterday. Not sure he is in the plan, yet.
Possibly because he has had an injury recently, but he should be getting a chance and he should have had game time by now, he is a right winger who scores goals something we have needed for years.

I don't watch all the games, but I liked Connor Coady when he arrived.

From what I saw, he could be worth keeping. Won't cost much.

I realise I now face summary execution.

Again though - what do you do when he is fit? Most strikers need game-time, especially at this level and whilst DCL is fit he will play.

With regards to January, I would urge everyone to actually look at what happened there. We didn't spend any money and we improved. None of the players we were linked with did anything to suggest they would have been better for us, and signing them or any other random could have had properly negative effects (would Simms' equalizer vs Chelsea have happened? Would Doucs have been played in the position he was which ultimately helped save us?). A big part of our financial mess is because of panic buys in January, and not doing it again should be seen as a positive.

If we are going to sign players in the financial mess we are in, they have to be upgrades on what we have at the club. Simms and Cannon are at the level of being OK forwards in the Championship now, and both can improve to be OK in the PL with time.

Whoever we bring in for money has to be a way above that level at a minimum - which basically means scouting and discovering someone before anyone else in the league or Europe does or taking a punt at someone like (edit) Langstaff, because we've got no money. It is possible, as Brighton have showed, but it will require us to be a lot better run than we are now.
Start him ocassionally, but mainly use him as a sub and limit his minutes. He hasn't shown for two years that he can put a run of games together. Limiting his minutes seems the only option as this point. I'm worried if he will ever be fully fit again.

We need options and competition. No other side has only 1 capable forward.

I'm interested in what we will do with Simms? He only has one year left on his contract. Will he be kept on or sold to a championship club? Could he be used if we were negotiating a deal with a championship club, like Gyokeres, or even Rodrigo from Leeds?

I know Rodrigo is old but he got 13 goals this season, which is peak Richarlison territory. He only has one season left on his contract as well, and Leeds may want to get rid of his 60k a week wages.
