Could it not be because Tofeenut basically has a chance to lose his job if he is blunt? Pretty sure he works where they do player medicals and thats what he gives info on. There can't be many who are involved in that type of a thing so you would think they could figure out who was "leaking" info after awhile.

But I totally get what you are saying, because you are 100% correct in your example.
I get what you mean but at the same time if there were ANY risk to someone’s job I don’t think posting it on an Everton fan forum is exactly worth the risk to be honest but maybe that’s just my opinion.

For example with TheBobble I think the club know exactly who he is and where he gets his info as well as Romano and other journalists knowing who he is, it would be insane if they didn’t however maybe I’ve pieced things together a bit myself but I’ve got the impression that he’s well off and not “in fear” like you mentioned and maybe that’s why he’s able to be more open about things.

Anyways it’s not a big deal at the end of the day really, like I said originally I just don’t like the thought of certain fans leading other fans on and things like that, it’s just not a very nice thing, we’re all supposed to be on the same page as fans of the club really and just because someone becomes “trusted” doesn’t mean they should be able to say any old thing to rile people up.

I hope @Tofeenut is actually @The Esk and he's played the long game by building your trust and then absolutely obliterated your morale and hope in a pre season where we're more desperate than ever for news.

Give them more vague references and watch the thread burn to the ground please.
That would be the M Night Shamalan twist needed to bring this Everton fan back to life

I'll be very disappointed if these deals don't come off now. Seems like we're going through another Esk situation from years ago with Toffenut now, someone gets the odd thing right, they become "ITK" and start acting like they're characters and higher than the standard fan, only to be like Icarus, fly too close to the sun and embarass themselves.

By all means feel free to share info or all that with other fans, don't start throwing out riddles and all that cryptic nonsense, acting like other fans should hang on your every word and try to decipher it. Comes off as looking down their noses on fans when the journalists do it, never mind when other fans do it to each other.
Did he start the Moutinho story?

He absolutely wouldn't mate. Have you ever watched him play ?.
The only positives to bringing him here , are the fact that he can put in a shift , works hard , and comes back to defend.
He’s terrible yes, but if he fancies himself an attacker he’s right about where he should want to play

The lad is 26 and has only just finally come to light this last season, and that was cos the surprise season Salernitana had.
Had never even heard of the bloke before that, Certainly not a player that had made a name for himself.
Doesn't exactly sound like a great bet for a desperate club...
Well to say that the list of strikers we've been linked with is unimpressive is something of an understatement. If you watch the way Dia plays, he is the best of what we've been linked with.

I've heard really food things from my mates who work in football about Boniface, but he's off elsewhere.

Dembele: dropped of a cliff form wise, looks unfit. Maybe he gets back to his best, maybe not. Huge wage and signing on fee required. Not an ideal age.

Iheanacho: As discussed, good goals to minutes and PL experience, but veers between the sublime and the ridiculous with his performances. Sometimes he's really terrible. Plus, not an ideal age.

Piroe: Nice range of finishes, debatable if he could step up to PL, something about his game seems to be giving all PL clubs pause as his Championship record is good.

Gyökeres: I quite liked him, but he should have been a £10-12m punt. The fee was ridiculous for a 25 year old without any top level experience, who is also quite slow.

El Bilal: Haven't seen him play (apart from 1 sub appearance in France). Huge fee required. Youtube highlights video is Niasse levels. May have potential and a good age, but we have nothing to go off.

Weghorst: Oh Christ, please no. Lee Champman had about the same finesse.

Don't think I've missed any out. So yes, all a risk, but for me Dia is the best. Would love to see us test the water with Gift Orban though. A deal with a hefty sell-on fee might convince Gent and would actually work out okay for us with him because he is probably going to become a superstar.

God knows about that 'Gift Orban' but I like the name so I'll be happy with him.

( Thing is with Dia, why did we let his Release clause run out if we were really gonna look at him. unless they are desperate for cash, so we can go lower now.

Would love it to be Dia, but didn't he say the other day that he wasn't aware of any contact for Dia? Pretty sure he said that around the same day he said 2 in by the weekend and one to follow, or whatever the tweet was.
You could very well be right, though I cant think of anyone else other than him or Toure unless its someone they surprisingly have kept anyone from knowing about.

Dia (possible), Dembele (less likely I am guessing), Weghorst (gone quiet) or one out of the blue. Would be surprised we are signing 2 strikers and 2 wingers btw. We never have these riches up front
True, but if we sell Simms, Gray, and Maupay, we will have removed 2 strikers and a winger, so adding 2 and 2 would make sense.
