It would be very surprising if Everton journalists and Leeds journalists and Italian journalists were all saying it without there being some truth to it so i think it is really obvious myself. Most of the journalist links i've seen this summer have been to young players like Toure Gnonto the lad from Juventus and now Jebbison in fact I think its only on here I see us being linked to Adams and Weghorst and the like but you'd think it was the other way round the way people talk.

It would not be very surprising at all - our journalists feel more paid off by the transfer season (Myers also doing his best to be a knob as per tweets posted here too), no actual solid links other than "interested in" and the matter of fact remains that we've signed a player who swerved us 6 months ago on loan with no option to buy and a 38 year old on a free.

"Enquiry" for Jebbison.
We were "close to signing" Toure too, who's now all but confirmed to go to Atalanta, and I doubt we even did anything serious there in all honesty.
The list goes on indefinitely.

It depends on what your definition of working is. Offering a couple of mil and the rest over 5 years isn't going to get us anyone of note.

Moshiri is all about the bottom line. If we are in the Prem when he sells BM he's happy,if we are in the Championship he sells and pockets the parachute payments. Win win for him.

I never said I wanted him I was asking people’s opinion about signing him, also he was acquitted on the evidence put out there.

We would've only been paying buttons for Toure this year. Payments spread over a number of years, it's clear we don't have a lot of money to spend up front on players.
