I think he will definitely be in the squad.
He is the right age, certainly has the physicality , has already been on loan and looked good in his pre season run outs.

I agree about the big fee. I don't see United getting what they are asking for. But I can see why Moyes is after him and has made a 20 million pound bid for someone that would become West Ham's best defender.

He will have to take a pay cut as well, there's no way West Ham will match his 180k a week either. Both United and Maguire will have to get real if they actually want to facilitate a move.

West Ham also have Kenwrights long lost brother in David Sullivan who likes cheap and complex deals spread out over long periods of time. It makes for a tricky window for them. This is what appears to have led to some conflict with the new sporting director who feels there is better value for money in Europe whereas Moyes wants good old pl experience from the likes of Maguire and Ward-Prowse and McTominay which obviously costs more.

The board have probably staged that he did to lull us into a false sense of security, ahead of some bubbling protest discussion.

Anyone able to play with an ACL, is doing amazing.
 
Got told about 3 weeks ago by a Man Utd mate that McGuire to Everton was on and I just laughed and said Utd would have to pay 90% of his wages, so interesting to see it being mentioned now, might be something in it?
