I think this is a myth also. Why risk the full on melt down of the fans and lack of match fitness for a few weeks salary? It is totally counter productive. The effect they could have in the early games is surely worth the few weeks pay even by BKs logic

Slim chance of signing Ekitike but have to try. I'm still very much inclined to think that no further business will be done until deadline day. They won't sell Gray without signing someone and no sign of anything being imminent there.

Have to use loan slots and fully utilise what little money may be available. We may have to accept waiting now but what will not be acceptable is not getting badly needed reinforcements in. They simply have to have a strong end to the window relative to the hand they're playing with. We can't have a repeat of last January nor a repeat of last summer when everyone knew we needed another forward.
