I would rather the psg kid but if Thelwell and Dyche want Daka it’s who we should get.
Well like I'd trust the footballing knowledge of a professional football director of football, with his scouting department along with a professional football manager comppared to the opinion of an accountant.

If they want Daka and Moshiri want's Ekitiké then Daka should be the #1 priority. It's a disgrace what's going on at the club, Moshiri is an idiot who's clearly being taken advantage of by Kenwright AND agents.

How is that Times article doing the rounds now - was out since last night - and seems to confirm that there is interest even though it is worded oddly. At the end of the day, if we get a striker in who improves the team, why do we care who in the club got the deal done? I care even less about which journalist gets the “first call” special badge to stitch into their PJ top.

So Bill's been left out the loop then, seeing as Joyce is one of Bill's mouthpieces.

I suspect it will be Dyche against this, wanting an inferior senior forward as befits his MO. According to Bobble, Ekitike was already on our list of targets, so Thelwell can't be too against it.

It would be great to get a young striker like this into the club. Not sure how realistic it is but you never know. Just hope it’s a signing the manager wants.

This one of those instances were someone makes something up and it becomes GOT fact.

There's almost no point trying to second guess the BTS stuff. Like you say, if the recruitment team did fancy the player previously then if Moshiri is going out to get him it isn't exactly a rogue mission. He's doing what they should be doing. Or it could be as simple as everyone does actually know about it but some people are better at keeping it quiet.

Think there's a little bit of ITK ass covering here too. Bobble categorically claimed there was no bit, now they are taking news there is a bid but it's been through Moshiri as a victory for their position. Not sure I trust Joyce or Bobble or anyone here because they are all at the mercy of what they are told, and there are all sorts of reasons they could be getting told different bits of info. It's all in the game.

Didn’t we get Luke Garbutt from Leeds? Ended up keeping him and loaning him out for years

Plus, the situation has changed. Ekitike only signed a few weeks back (due to the obligation of the loan) and now Enrique had decided he doesn't fancy him. We should be reacting to the fact he is a previous target who is available, even if we've been tracking other forwards.

I honestly believe though that Dyche will be insisting on a senior forward. Like Moyes, he is one of those who only plays youth begrudgingly. The idea of him potentially ending up with Chermiti, Gnonto and Ekitike really tickles me. 😄
