If he was number 1 option then why did they wait though? It doesn't make sense.

They've known he's due back in September for several weeks. If they were ok with that then why did they wait till now?

If they lose another player who has travelled for a medical, then it's amateurish stuff and another embarassment for the club and KT.

He's been injured so they've been trying to push on with the Gnonto deal and also selling Gray

Yesterday highlighted how bad the wide options are, so they've tried to bite the bullet and go for it despite the injury

*Sigh*

We haven't waited to save money. He's been injured. They've just decided to finally press on after having zero width yesterday.
We will have waited to save money. I'm sure if he was fit he'd already here, but given the fact he had been one of our top targets, why haven't we already signed him? To save on his £90k pw wages for a few weeks seeing as he won't be available until Mid-september.

If he was their number 1 target as you say, that strategy makes no sense. You would still want your number 1 target even if they miss 4 games.

We'll have to wait and see what happens. But I don't understand why you wait if he's the player top of your list. I think you're giving the club too much credit here, they really don't know how to operate effectively in the market.

To summarise:

- He’s been one of our top targets
- We’ve actively wanted to get rid of Demarai Gray and won’t sanction it until we have a replacement
- Jack Harrison has a clause which became active on their relegation
- we wait until the first game passes to make make a move after playing James Garner at right wing

Have I missed anything

You said it Dan.

Bill's transfer window acumen coming up brilliantly .....

** Tried hard but couldn't get deals done.... we made bids !!!!
** Too many unexpected injuries
** Clubs kept stealing our targets at last second
** Nobody wants to sign for EFC becasue fans are toxic towards players / board.

" Watch this space ......we'll go with what we got ! "
