Seems like this has been the plan all along a very dangerous strategy

We need to find a good loan deal for a striker that we can actually get and get right now. It's too risky trying to negotiate deals for players that clubs want to keep at this stage, and the same applies to loaning players at the end of the window when everyone and their mate is scrabbling around trying to get the ones that are left.

This is it for me leaving it late isn't clever it merely increases prices and makes it harder to get strikers out
